The Hottest Restaurants I Love!

By  |
Choosing which restaurant to spend your night out at these days goes way beyond what food will be on the menu. Food nowadays comes second, to what type of ambiance or mood the restaurant represents. Of course good food is always a major plus, but what really seems to attract people is what kind of vibe the place embodies. It seems as if these days, the décor of a place is the new way to classify where we wish to go.

Throughout the last few years while traveling abroad, I have found a true passion (and I keep promising myself that someday I will start my own food blog). That is to always make an effort to know about the hottest and newest restaurants to go to and always being most intrigued about what type of décor and style that restaurant has to offer. With so many restaurants popping up all over, it’s important that in order for a restaurant to stand out that it must have some “umph” to it and make it so that people want to be there and come back time and time again.

I have been blessed to not only be born into a family of “foodies” but also my father,  who has been in the hospitality industry for over 40 years,  and now my brother who works within this niche industry as well, introduced me to a wide-variety of diverse restaurants, chefs and cuisines. Due to this, it has left my family and me with a mature palette, only allowing our family dinners to take place at the new upcoming restaurant rather than any chain or traditional restaurant. So, by instinct if you wish to call it that, I am only attracted to restaurants that are different and unique from one another and offer an experience that is unparrell to anything other than “ordinary.”

I will share with all of you some of my favorite places that continue to inspire and fulfill me both with the food I eat, but also with the innovatively designed establishments that are continually flocked to by consumers who want a unique experience in such a demanding and ever-flourishing industry.

Here are some of my favorites!

Brooklyn Girl: Any restaurant that serves flavored popcorn right upon your arrival wins my hearts!

Starting off with my hometown and where I was lucky to spend my childhood, in sunny San Diego, these are my go-to places whenever I go back home! My top favorites are:

Alexander‘s, the breathtaking all white-marble restaurant that is accompanied by some of San Diego’s best pizza and Caesar salad

Brooklyn Girl‘s unique use of contemporary art plus that they start all their guests off with their own fresh batch of flavored popcorn (an easy to my heart)

Some of my other must go to places are Craft & Commerce, Soda & Swine, and Davanti Enoteca.

Craft & Commerce: The unique menu of Craft & Commerce is in line of their unique design offering a great place for drinks, food and a lot of fun times!
